UI was supposed to facilitate the user’s work with the program, but it’s not always good.
Why in the year when artificial intelligence is at its peak, we still can’t command what needs to be done in words, in human language? It’s worth admitting that naive thoughts from the past about pushing a button and whatever the user needs will magically happen are tempting.
It all started with the fact that it became difficult for me to find the necessary information. The more files and folders I had created, the more time it took to find the right one. I realized that searching for endless lists of files and folders, especially with a nesting condition, is not an option for large amount of data.
I’ve been using my search software for several years and made sure that searching by tags increases search speed. Even with the time spent on tagging, the effort pays off and now it’s like my second brain, my personal flexible search engine.
